The Crisis
As we enter the last days we are coming into a Crisis. This crisis is a clash of civilizations: a clash of religions: a clash of life-world views. So, it is important for us to know the other side of the clash. Who is it that threatens us?
Muhammad lived in Arabia between AD570-632. The product of his life was a book called the Koran, and a religion called Islam. The book was said to come from Islam’s god, Allah. The religion spread very rapidly from Arabia to Spain (by AD711) and though India (by 715). This was all done by military conquest.
Islam’s attempt to conquer Western Europe was stopped in AD 732 in the Battle of Tours. Islam's attempt to counquer Eastern Europe was stopped in 1683 in the Battle of Vienna. The present war we are in started in 1979 when Khomeine became leader of Iran and declared war on the world. Islam simply took up where if left off in 1683; it has been trying to conquer the world for 1400 years.
Islam has six principles, which drive the religion. These are the “Six Pillars of Islam”, or 5 Pillars of Islam.
- The Creed: 13 words, which declare the foundation of Islam.
- Daily Prayers: 5 times each day.
- The Fast of Ramadan: The month that cormorants the coming of the Koran
- Almsgiving to the religion and the poor.
- The Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in your life.
- The Jihad – the holy war. (Bring self and all other creatures under Allah)
Jihad was considered by Mohammad to be the second most important thing for all Muslims to do. The goal of Jihad is to bring the whole world under the total control of Allah, and it begins with the total submission of each Muslim’s soul and body to Allah. This is the Orthodox Islam.
This goal: the conquering of the world for Allah is the driving force and fuel that empowers Islam in its war against the West.
